2nd Annual Toss for a Cause Charity Cornhole Tournament

Bring your A-game (and your lucky pair of bags) to the most fun-packed cornhole event of the season! Whether you’re a seasoned sling-and-score champion or just coming out for a great time, this tournament has something for everyone — all for an amazing cause!
 
Ashburn Village is partnering with Irish Rose Cornhole to host the 2nd annual Toss for a Cause Charity Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, June 7 starting at 12:00pm. The competitive and social tournament will feature prizes, raffles, food trucks and more!
 
The proceeds raised from the event will benefit the CJ3 Foundation, nonprofit public charity organization serving our nation’s wounded heroes – wounded and disabled U.S. military service members, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency first responders. The CJ3 Foundation provides services, support, and advocacy to our nation’s wounded heroes who need and require assistance and then connects them with resources and programs designed to meet their unique set of needs.

As part of this year’s event, we are introducing a School Challenge. The local school with the highest participation — measured either by the number of participants representing the school at check-in and/or the most participants dressed in school spirit wear — will receive a professional cornhole set donated to the school.

School’s Out Pool Party

Join us as we celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer at the School’s Out Pool Party! The first 150 attendees will receive a free Kona Ice!

This is a FREE event for Ashburn Village residents and registration is not required. Pool pass is required for entry.

Ashburn Village Independence Day Parade and Pool Party

Join us in celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a parade around the Ashburn Village Sport Pavilion’s lake and a pool party at AVSP’s outdoor pool on Sunday, July 5!

Decorate your bikes for the parade around AVSP Lake starting at 10am. Dogs on a leash are welcome to join the parade! 

After the parade, head over to the AVSP outdoor pool for a party with music, games, a waterslide, dunk tank, kids’ activities and food trucks!

This is a FREE event for Ashburn Village residents and registration is not required. Pool pass is required for entry for the pool party.

Parking & Access Parking is limited — please plan to arrive early and walk. The Lakes parking lot and pool close at 5:30 PM for a private event.
No public parking will be available in this lot.

National Night Out

Join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Lakes Amphitheater! National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
 
Enjoy ice cream courtesy of the AVCA and mingle with your neighbors. Let the kids enjoy time in the bounce house and get to know your first responders from the LCSO & AVFRD.

Ashburn Village Kids Triathlon
 
Saturday, August 8, 8:00am
The Lakes Rec Center, 44078 Cheltenham Circle
 
Calling all kids ages 6-15! Join us for the Ashburn Village Kids Triathlon on Saturday, August 8 at 8:00a.m. The Kids Triathlon includes a swim in the Lakes Pool and a bike and run around Cheltenham Circle starting and ending at the Lakes Rec Center. All racers will receive a medal and a t-shirt.
 
Trophies will be awarded for winners in the following age groups:
Ages 6-8: 50 meter SWIM/1.5 mile BIKE*/.75 mile RUN
Ages 9-10: 100 meter SWIM/1.5 mile BIKE*/.75 mile RUN
Ages 11-12: 100 meter SWIM/3 mile BIKE*/1.5 mile RUN
Ages 13-15: 150 meter SWIM/3 mile BIKE*/1.5 mile RUN
 
*A bike helmet is required for the bike portion of this event. Participants must have their own bike and a basic knowledge of how to swim. Aquatic staff will be on deck but not in the water.
 
Cost: Ashburn Village Members $55/Non-Members $60

Calling all Ashburn Village musicians! Are you in a band or a solo artist? Join us for Ashburn Village’s Battle of the Bands competition! Round 1 will take place at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion on Saturday, August 22, and the top two finalists in each category will compete at the Fall Fest on Saturday, September 12.

Eligibility:
Solo artists must be residents of Ashburn Village
All bands must be, at minimum, comprised of at least 25% of Ashburn Village residents
Artists may not register in more than one act
We will not be accepting any bands larger than six members
