Swimming Pools

INDOOR POOL
At least two lanes of the indoor pool are open at all times to residents. The other 3-4 lanes are designated for swim practice and lessons.

Monday - Thursday – 5:00 am-9:15 pm 
Friday - 5:00 am-8:15 pm 
Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:15 PM
Open year-round, except selected holidays.
 
Sports Pavilion Outdoor Pool
Monday to Friday 4:30pm to 8:15pm
Sat and Sun, 11:00 AM - 5:15 PM
 
When school is out of session 
Mon-Fri 11am-8:15pm

OUTDOOR POOLS
The outdoor pools are open the Saturday before Memorial Day until Labor Day. Guest passes are electronically loaded to your AVSP card and may be used for outdoor pools only.
Woods and Lakes Pools
When School is In Session: 4:30 pm - 8:15 pm 
When School is Out: 11:00 am –  8:15 pm
Weekends: 11:00 am –  8:15 pm
 
Mills: Open Daily 10:00 am - 7:15 pm
 
   
 
LAKES POOL
 
The Lakes Community Center Pool, located at 44078 Cheltenham Circle, is an Olympic sized, lighted pool with a diving board. There is also a smaller "baby pool" area that allows for our younger residents to enjoy the water as well. Be sure to take advantage of this amenity by soaking up the sun, relaxing poolside and enjoying an afternoon of leisure in the Village.
 
MILLS POOL
 
The Mills Community Center Pool, located at 43895 Grottoes Drive, is affectionately nicknamed by our younger residents as the "bucket pool" for its many amenities that cater to our young water lovers. Kids of all ages regularly visit this very popular summertime destination and on most summer days, the Mills pool can boast as one of the busiest spots in the Village.
 
WOODS POOL
 
The Woods Community Center Pool, located at 44020 Louisa Drive, is tucked in to a quiet nook here in the Village, where residents can spend many leisurely hours basking in the summer sun. Many of our residents find it a quiet respite in the midst of their hectic days.
 
SPORTS PAVILION
 
The Sports Pavilion, located at 20585 Ashburn Village Blvd, hosts both indoor and outdoor 25 meter pools. During the summer swim team season, the Aqua Jets host practices in the late afternoon and evening hours in the outdoor pool.
 
ACCESS CARDS/POOL PASSES
In order to enter the Pavilion or pools, you must have an access card. If you do not have an access card, you must contact the HOA office. You may also email Member Services at the office for additional help avca@ashburnvillage.org. If you have lost or misplaced your card, it is $5.00 to replace the card. Credit card or exact cash only. 
 
Did You Recently Move To The VILLAGE?
All residents must have a membership access card to enter the Pavilion and pools when open. If you are a new homeowner and do not have passes, please click here to fill out the new homeowner membership form. If you are a new renter please refer to the Renters information below. Once member services receives all of the required documents they will email you confirming your passes are ready to be picked up.
  • To easily obtain your passes you will need to give the following information to Member Services via email. avca@ashburnvillage.org
  • This will enable us to have you pre-setup in our system.
  • When you come to the office, just show your proof of residency and leave with your passes. 
  • All data input is done prior to your arrival.
 
New Homeowners
Please bring the following:
  • Photo ID
  • Deed of Trust or HUD 1
Renters
Renters please bring the following (HOA will make copies):
  • Photo ID
  • Copy of signed lease
  • New Renter Form signed by renter(s), Conveyance form signed by renter(s) and landlord, and Ashburn Village Lease Addendum signed by renter(s) and landlord. Download Forms here.
Please allow Member Services 3-5 business days to process your AVSP passes. Our Member Service Representative will email you once your passes are ready to be picked up. 
 
POOL RULES
 
The Lifeguards and Manager-on-Duty (MOD) have the authority to enforce the rules listed here to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of all participants.

Participants not abiding by these rules may be asked to leave the facility and may also be subject to suspension or termination of facility privileges.

Identification of Residents
All residents and guests 6 years of age or older must provide either a valid AVCA Membership Card or a valid AVCA Guest Pass to gain entry to any AVCA pool.

Pool Closings
In addition to Loudoun County and State of Virginia Health Code Standards, the pool will be closed for the following reasons:
  • Operational and mechanical difficulties affecting pool water quality.
  • For a period of time following any mishap that results in feces or vomit in the pool water.
  • Outdoor pools: During severe weather conditions (heavy rain, lightning, and thunder) and warnings, especially when visibility to the pool bottom is compromised (deck also closed).
  • Outdoor pools: For 30 minutes following the last occurrence of thunder or lightning (deck also closed).
Appropriate Behavior
  • No profanity, harassment, or inappropriate language will be tolerated.
  • All swimmers MUST shower before entering the pool.
  • Proper swimwear is required, which does NOT include jeans, cutoffs, or thongs.
  • NO PETS are allowed in the pool or on the pool deck, unless they are service animals.
  • NO GLASS, ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, or ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES is permitted anywhere in the pool area.  Possession of alcohol will result in immediate expulsion.
  • NO FIREARMS allowed on the premises.
  • Food is NOT allowed in the pool area except in designated eating areas.  Non-alcoholic drinks in non-glass containers are permitted on the pool deck.
  • Audio equipment must be used with personal headphones in pool and locker room areas.
  • Swimmers MUST stay off lap lanes, ropes, safety lines and lifeguard stands.
  • Refrain from distracting the Lifeguards while on duty - they are here for your safety.
  • Inappropriate behavior such as running, pushing, wrestling, excessive splashing, standing or sitting on shoulders, or spitting of water is NOT allowed and may result in expulsion from the pool area.
  • Children, ages five and older, MUST use their gender appropriate changing room.
  • Private parties cannot be accommodated.
  • Swim aides, floatable objects, and pool toys will be allowed at the Lifeguard's or MOD's discretion.
  • All children who are not toilet trained MUST wear approved swimmers' diapers while in the pool.
  • A 10-minute Safety Break for lap swim will be held at 50 minutes after the hour, every hour.  
  • Admission will be refused to any person having a skin disease, inflamed eyes, nasal or ear discharge, or any communicable disease.
Health and Safety
  • DIVING IS NOT PERMITTED, except in designated areas.
  • All children 4 years of age or younger must be supervised by an adult (16 years of age or older) within arm's length at all times when on the pool deck or in the pool.
  • All children regardless of age using inflatable armbands (i.e., water wings) or any Coast Guard approved flotation device MUST be supervised by an accompanying adult in the water and be within arm's length of the child.
  • Children under age 12 MUST be directly supervised by a responsible individual age 16 or older.
  • All trash must be placed in the proper receptacles.
