Architectural Environmental Review Committee
The Architectural Environmental Review Committee (AERC) is made up of volunteer homeowners appointed by the AVCA Board of Directors. AERC Meetings are held on the first (1st) Thursday of each month. The AERC is responsible for reviewing all submitted exterior applications with the following criteria:
Each homeowner is given a copy of the Architectural Environmental Guidelines at the time of sale with their disclosure packet. It is important that each homeowner understand the covenants application process, architectural review procedure and established design principles and standards.

Exterior changes to single family homes and town homes located in Ashburn Village require Association approval prior to installation. If you need a copy of your property plat, please contact the Loudoun County Clerk of the Circuit Court at 703-777-0270. The Architecture and Environment Guidelines and Exterior Change Request forms are available online below:
The homeowner is responsible for notifying the AVCA office once the exterior modifications are complete. Please use the AER Completion Online Form below. Upon receipt of this form, staff will inspect the property to verify that the changes were made in accordance with what was approved by the AERC.
