AVSP values the safety of each community member. Individuals that participate in certain fitness programs will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation.

Whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, this session with a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) can be used to look at your goals, assess where you are currently standing physically, and educate you on new exercises to broaden your scope of knowledge so that you can utilize the gym to it's greatest capacity! Your CPT will also take you through a custom tailored fitness test and leave you with a 30 day workout program. Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!

Take advantage of this free 1-hr complete assessment whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete. During your assessment, you and your Certified Personal Trainer will discuss specific fitness goals, health history, dietary habits, current exercise routine, among other topics. Your CPT will also take you through specific fitness testing and a mini-workout. Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!
InBody 230 Body Composition Analyzer

This analysis provides a snapshot of a person's lean muscle mass, body water and body fat percentage. Knowing your internal makeup is the most important factor in achieving ideal body composition. This non-invasive, in-depth analysis will provide a detailed printout and results interpretation by a Certified Personal Trainer. Couch To 5K!
Get ready for the Ashburn Village Fiesta 5K!
Designed for beginners but all running levels are welcome. Participants will meet once a week to learn running techniques, drills, conditioning and stretching exercises to enhance their pace and endurance. A weekly workout will be assigned to be completed in between group sessions.
Led by Assistant Fitness Director, Mackenzie Morton, this program has 2 meeting options; Mondays 5-6PM or Wednesday 6-7AM.

AVSP has many fitness programs designed specifically for the kids, pre-teens, and teens of the community. The complete youth fitness schedule can be viewed by clicking the Fitness Schedule link on the left-side of the page.
Teen Weight Training Certification: The "do's and don'ts" of fitness and weight training. This is a one-day course and teens must demonstrate competency on the equipment and pass a written quiz. After completing this course, teenagers, aged 12-15, may use the fitness center with parental supervision or during the designated "Teen Workout" times (PT/Fitness Attendant-supervised).
Cost: $35- members only
Must sign up 24hrs in advance to a class.
Teen Workouts: Teenagers between the ages of 12-15, are able to use the weight room & cardio area under the supervision of one of our Personal Trainers or Fitness Attendants during designated times. *Teens must have successfully completed the Teen Weight Training Certification in order to participate.* Teens must pick-up a wristband from the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for Teen Workout. Note: During non-Teen Workout times, teens must still be accompanied by and within visual/audible distance of a parent or guardian at all times.
Workout Days/Times: School In Session: M-Th, 4-6p / School Out of Session: M-Th, 12-2p, Except on holidays.

Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion values the safety of each community member. Every individual that participates in the personal training program, any fee-based fitness class and/or the teen weight training program at the Sports Pavilion will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation. Legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 will be required to complete the form. The PAR-Q is a screening tool that is commonly used by fitness professionals to determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for an individual based upon answers to the specific health history questions on the form. AVSP is able to better serve the community and increase safety of program participants by utilizing the PAR-Q form.
