PAR-Q Form Information
AVSP values the safety of each community member. Individuals that participate in certain fitness programs will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation.

Take advantage of this free assessment for members new to fitness or seasoned athletes. During your assessment, you and your Certified Personal Trainer will discuss specific fitness goals, health history, dietary habits, current exercise routine, and your mindset. Your CPT will also take you through specific exercises in order to assess your current fitness level. Based on the results, they will make recommendations about which Personal Training package can best help you reach your goals!

Designated TWT hours
School Year Hours: Monday - Thursday 430p-630p
Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday 930a-1130a
(NO Teen Hours on National Holidays)
Teenagers between the ages of 12-15, are able to use the weight room & cardio area under the supervision of one of our Personal Trainers or Fitness Attendants during the designated time if they are teen weight trained certified.
The Teen Weight Training (TWT) certification takes approx 30-45 mins. Parents are not required to participate in the Teen Weight Training session. There is a one time cost of $35.00. During this session, the instructor will review gym and teen weight training rules and policies, talk about basic gym etiquette, go over general strength training principles, and then conduct a tour of the gym floor.

Once your child has been Teen Weight Trained certified, they can use the weight room without parental supervision during designated TWT fitness hours ONLY.
Please note: Any time other than TWT hours, they must be under the direct supervision of the parent (which means the parent must be near enough to observe and assist if needed) if they are teen weight trained certified.

Active Adult Fitness
AVSP offers a variety of active adult classes to both members and non-members of the community. Non-members must pay $10/class to participate. Payment can be made at the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for class. Classes designated as Active Adult include:

Fitness Training for the Seniors
Strength training will help you stay active and independent as long as possible. When you work with one of our Senior Fitness Specialists regularly, you will build muscle, get stronger and increase flexibility which can help with coordination, balance, and overall mobility.
Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) Form
Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion values the safety of each community member. Every individual that participates in the personal training program, any fee-based fitness class and/or the teen weight training program at the Sports Pavilion will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation. Legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 will be required to complete the form. The PAR-Q is a screening tool that is commonly used by fitness professionals to determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for an individual based upon answers to the specific health history questions on the form. AVSP is able to better serve the community and increase safety of program participants by utilizing the PAR-Q form.
