AVSP values the safety of each community member. Individuals that participate in certain fitness programs will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation.

Whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, this session with a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) can be used to look at your goals, assess where you are currently standing physically, and educate you on new exercises to broaden your scope of knowledge so that you can utilize the gym to it's greatest capacity! Your CPT will also take you through a custom tailored fitness test and leave you with a 30 day workout program.  Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!

At AVSP we take great pride in the fact that all of our trainers are either certified through a nationally recognized organization, have a college degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, or both. Our trainers have a proven track record of coaching clients to achieve their personal fitness goals. Fitness Assessments
FREE- members & new clients only.

Take advantage of this free 1-hr complete assessment whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete. During your assessment, you and your Certified Personal Trainer will discuss specific fitness goals, health history, dietary habits, current exercise routine, among other topics. Your CPT will also take you through specific fitness testing and a mini-workout. Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!

InBody 230 Body Composition Analyzer
Initial Consultation: Member $39 / Non Member $49

This analysis provides a snapshot of a person's lean muscle mass, body water and body fat percentage. Knowing your internal makeup is the most important factor in acheiving ideal body composition. This non-invasive, in-depth analysis will provide a detailed printout and results interpretation by a Certified Personal Trainer. The analysis will produce the following measurements in less than 5 minutes:

An introduction to your Personal Training Subscription program worth $180. This includes:
  • 1 hour fitness assessment and an introduction to the proper form and use of the equipment
  • Two ½ hour sessions with a Certified Personal Trainer
Personal Training Packages

For those looking for a more intense, shorter workout we offer our Express Sessions that are 30 minute high intensity bouts that are perfect for increasing cardiovascular endurance, improving body composition, and testing your fitness levels.

The 1–hour Traditional Session of individualized personal training is perfect for those wanting to increase their lean, skeletal muscle mass or for individuals in need of gaining strength and stability.

Partner Training is perfect for members who would like to share the experience with a friend or relative. These sessions are also an hour in length. Get ready to sweat together!
 
Small Group Training is an affordable and great way to share your fitness experience with 2-4 other friends/family members!  These sessions are an hour long.

A 6 week dynamic strength training program designed to increase lean muscle mass, decrease body fat and improve core stability utilizing suspension trainers (TRX) and Kettle bells. Register here!
 
 
This 6 week course utilizes deep water running exercises to strengthen and tone muscles, improve your cardiovascular system, and allow you to enjoy a refreshing and challenging workout with less stress and strain on your joints. 
 
Led by instructor Julie Hayden, this course is suitable for all fitness levels, including non-swimmers.

Research has shown the following benefits regarding a 6-week Juniors Tennis Conditioning Program:
Improved tennis performance
Reduction in the risk of a possible overuse injury, reflected by an improvement in shoulder external/internal range of motion
A combination of core stabilization, elastic resistance exercises, and upper body plyometric exercises (i.e., medicine ball throws), focusing on the primary muscle groups and stabilizers involved in tennis specific movement patterns, could be appropriate for the development of young tennis players

Teen Weight Training Certification: The "do's and don'ts" of fitness and weight training. This is a two-day course and teens must demonstrate competency on the equipment and pass a written quiz. Participants must attend both days of the session. After completing this course, teenagers, aged 12-15, may use the fitness center with parental supervision or during the designated "Teen Workout" times (PT/Fitness Attendant-supervised).
Cost: $25- members only, sign up here. 
Must sign up 24hrs in advance to a class. 

Teen Workouts: Teenagers between the ages of 12-15, are able to use the weight room & cardio area under the supervision of one of our Personal Trainers or Fitness Attendants during designated times. *Teens must have successfully completed the Teen Weight Training Certification in order to participate.* Teens must pick-up a wristband from the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for Teen Workout. Note: During non-Teen Workout times, teens must still be accompanied by and within visual/audible distance of a parent or guardian at all times.
Workout Days/Times: School In Session: M-Th, 4-6p / School Out of Session: M-Th, 12-2p, Except on holidays.

AVSP offers a variety of active adult classes to both members and non-members of the community. Non-members must pay $10/class to participate. Payment can be made at the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for class. Classes designated as Active Adult include:

  • Beginner Senior Strength & Balance
  • Mobility/Stability
  • Line Dance for Fitness

Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion values the safety of each community member. Every individual that participates in the personal training program, any fee-based fitness class and/or the teen weight training program at the Sports Pavilion will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation. Legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 will be required to complete the form. The PAR-Q is a screening tool that is commonly used by fitness professionals to determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for an individual based upon answers to the specific health history questions on the form. AVSP is able to better serve the community and increase safety of program participants by utilizing the PAR-Q form.
