National Night Out Ice Cream Social 2018 At the Lake Recreation Center
On Tuesday, August 7th from 7-9pm, Ashburn Village will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 35th Annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is designed to:
1. Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
2. Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts;
3. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;
4. Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Kids Triathlon
Saturday, August 18th, 2018, 8am at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion
“iSwim, iBike, iRun… iTri!”
Swim, bike and run in the Ashburn Village Kids Triathlon. Swim laps in the AVSP Outdoor Pool, bike around the lake and run on a marked course starting and ending at the Pavilion. Kids ages 6-15 of all levels are encouraged to compete. All racers will receive a participation ribbon, small prize and trophies will be awarded for winners in the following age groups. 6-8 yr, 9-11 yr, and 12-15 yr.
Ages 6-8: 50 meter SWIM/ 1 mile BIKE*/ 1 mile RUN
Ages 9-11: 100 meter SWIM/ 2 mile BIKE*/ 2 mile RUN
Ages 12-15: 150 meter SWIM/ 3 mile BIKE*/ 2 mile RUN
*A bike helmet is required for the bike portion of this event. Participants must have their own bike and a basic knowledge of how to swim. Aquatic staff will be on deck but not in the water.
