The trees along the curb side were placed by the developer without regard to how they would affect infrastructure in the future. These trees were not the correct trees to be placed in these areas because of their size in relation to the small curb in which they were planted.  The Association over the past few years has spent hundreds of your dollars to fix sidewalks, curbs, and streets due to the root system which have destroyed the infrastructure. Some of these areas that were replaced are already needing repair.

 

The Association not only has the responsibility to physically maintain these areas but also has the fiduciary responsibility to its homeowners.  Over the next 10 days trees (and stumps) marked in orange will be removed (weather permitting).  In the spring new trees better suited for this type of space will be replanted where appropriate.
