Looking for a Summer Camp for your children? You’re in luck! Rise Camp enrollment is NOW open for Village Residents. All information can be found HERE on the Ashburn Village website. How to enroll for Camp? Please email Youth Program Director, Erin May at emay@ashburnvillage.org and you will set up an appointment to go over all paperwork before enrolling.

Interested in learning how to play the fast growing game of Pickleball? Have you never played, or only played a few times, and need to get your skills up just a bit?

Join us on Sunday mornings from 8am-10am in the Sports Pavilion gym. Paddles and balls will be provided.

(More experienced players are reminded that the Pavilion offers pickleball in the gym on Monday night from 6pm-8pm, and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 10am-12n)

PAVING

Please check the website homepage and Parking page for information about the paving projects around the community.

 

Ashburn Village Blvd (and all our roads serving single family homes) are VDOT controlled. AVCA does not have jurisdiction to enforce parking. Commercial trucks and/or trailers are not permitted to be parked on these streets. If you see one, you may call the Sheriff's non-emergency number 703-777-1021 to report the parking violation and an officer will ticket the vehicle. Or report online HERE.

I have been living in Ashburn Village since 2006, and in the past I have tried several classes with no success. But, three weeks ago my neighbor introduced me to these classes and I love them! The teacher is very friendly, professional and she make the class so much fun, that the class time flies."

"I wanted to provide a note THANKING Gayle and Stephanie for getting the fans installed in the cardio area of the Sports Pavilion. The 3 fans have been a HUGE benefit and one can feel the air circulating in the cardio areas which aides a workout session greatly. Several people have made comments that they are delighted to have the fans installed – so even if they don’t let you know – please know your efforts are appreciated! Furthermore, I want to Thank you for you speed in getting the fans installed - @Stephanie – You’re the best ????. I believe Stephanie is working to get the last (4th) fan installed - I think it requires running a little electrical conduit. Hopefully, the AVCA can approve this install in concert with the arrival of the new recumbent bikes. ????"

Tennis Court Reservations

Tennis courts at The Lakes, The Woods and The Mills are NOW able to be reserved for FREE up to 7 days in advance by Ashburn Village Residents only. Court 1 at all locations will be available first come first serve. Reservations may only be made online using the online platform HERE. If you don’t have a log in, please email avsp@ashburnvillage.org for assistance. If you are playing and someone arrives who has a reservation, we ask that you please vacate the court. When reserving the court, please save your emailed confirmation as proof which can be shown in the case of residents playing on the court.

Spring II Group Tennis Registration is now open for Residents. Spring II will run May 2nd to June 12th. You can register here.

 

Tai Chi starts on Monday and will be held Monday and Thursdays from 7:45pm-8:45pm in the group exercise room. This class, like all of our group exercise classes, are FREE for residents.

 

Want to run a 5K race but unsure about how to start? AVSP’s Couch to 5K training program will have you ready in just 4 weeks! Training program begins April 9th and the fee of $100 includes Race Day Registration. Register at ashburnvillage.org or email mmorton@ashburnvillage.org.

 

Golf Strength Training Clinic! Challenge your physical abilities while improving your golf game! In this 1-hour clinic led by Golf Fitness Specialist, Mackenzie Morton, you will learn exercises to strengthen your core, shoulders and legs to empower your swing and follow through. "COMPLIMENT!! Kudos to the Grounds and Facilities folks for such a quick and thorough response to my concern regarding trash in the woods behind our townhomes! Wow! March 28 was a Friday -- the following Tuesday we were standing on our deck looking out at the blossoming trees in the common area woods/wetland behind our house and something was missing: ALL THAT TRASH! What quick work! It looks so much better and the drainage creek behind it was clear of clutter enabling it to drain much more freely than before. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!"

Concrete work will be completed today on the following streets: Footstep Terrace, Litchfield Terrace, Pickerelweed Terrace, Cripple Creek Square, Bitterroot Terrace, Lost Moccasin Terrace, Tyler Too Terrace, Colecroft Square, Mossy Glen Terrace, and Harwich Square. Thank you for your patience.

On 3/28 and 3/29, weather permitting, the yellow curbs will be power washed in preparation to be restriped after the paving. Paving will begin the week of 4/4.

WELCOME, VERN! The AVCA is excited to announce, we've welcomed our new Resident Services Manager, Vernon James! Here's a note from him, "Professionally I’ve been at the Reston Association (master HOA) for the last eight and a half years, most of that time spent in Covenants. I’ve achieved a couple of the CAI certifications and I’ll be going for my CMCA shortly.

Personally, I’m a novelist, mostly writing comedy. I also enjoy taking out my Rad City electric bike and exploring the trails in our area."

 

 

 

The Board of Directors raised the age limit of dependent children that are included in an owner's membership to under 26. Previously a child aged out of membership at age 24. Once the dependent child reaches the age of 26, an additional adult membership is available for purchase.

Adult children will be asked to show proof of residency.
