VDOT to Perform Asphalt Work on Amity, Delightful, Comfort, Ringold, and Tavern

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is scheduled to begin slurry paving operation next week on the attached streets. VDOT will post NO Parking signs 72 Hours before work starts. The signs will have the hours when not to park and days they plan on working in the area.
Example NO Parking  8:00 AM  -- 5:00 PM.  5/2/16 - 5/6/16.

VDOT will knock on doors if a car is parked in the way to try to have it moved, if no response then  it will be towed. VDOT will work with the community to give as much notice as possible to keep everything moving along.  VDOT will also pass out door hanger notifying the residents of the work to be done on their streets.

Depending on the temperature during the day when they start slurry sealing it could take anywhere from 1.5 to 3.0 hours for the slurry seal to set up. The contractor will not block anyone access to their homes, they will sand the areas were needed if they need to get out, or come in, or cross over the roadway to prevent getting the product on their vehicles.

Please follow the link on vdot's website - to get more information.

This work is not being performed by the Ashburn Village Community Association.  If you have any questions please contact VDOT directly at 703-259-0245.
