Why does Ashburn Village Have Their Fireworks on July 5th?
Posted on Jun 25th, 2017

The Association also tried to line up a Pyro for the following year and tried to get either July 3rd or July 4th but those dates were already taken by bigger venues (DC, Leesburg, etc.) and they get their dates every year.  The Board decided to hold the fireworks on July 5th from then on because the Association would always be guaranteed that a Pyro on that date.  Our Pyro does an awesome job at the fireworks and because it is July 5th, we do receive a discount.

All of us on the Board would love to be able to have our fireworks on July 4th but that option is not available to us and neither is July 3rd, we choose the next closest date which is July 5th to celebrate Independence Day.  By keeping the same date, our residents should know from year to year the date our fireworks will be on and we are guaranteed that we have a Pyro for the event.  This event is attended by 1,000s of people every year.
