Board of Directors Approve 2018 Budget with Minimum Monthly Assessments Increases

Dear Ashburn Village Homeowners,
 
The Board of Directors unanimously approved the 2018 Budget at their September 26, 2017 meeting.  Normally this information would have been included in the October issue of The Villager but due to the publication cut-off date, it was not included.
 
The Board of Directors, the Budget & Finance Committee and General Manager have worked hard to continue keeping increases to assessments low while still providing the upkeep and maintenance of the community and this year is no different!  The biggest savings in the 2018 Budget is a reduction in the cost of electric and this is due to the change over to LED technology in the street lights, building lights, and the purchase of a more efficient tennis bubble and lights.
 
In 2018 the Association will renovate the Mills pool bathroom and will be updating and replacing all of the old red and burgundy signs in front of the recreation centers and HOA office.  Work on revitalizing the plant beds with more native and eco-friendly plantings throughout the Village will continue as well.
 
The changes to the 2018 assessments are below.
  • Single Family - $0.40 a month increase
  • Townhomes (excluding the Regency by Toll Brothers) - $0.82 a month increase
  • Gala Circle Townhomes - $0.82 a month increase
  • Age Restricted Single Family - $0.82 a month increase
  • Regency of Ashburn (excluding condos) - $0.37 a month increase
  • Condos (Lakeshore, Four Seasons, and the Regency of Ashburn) - $0.22 a month increase
All homeowners will be receiving an assessment reminder in the mail prior to January 1, 2018.  The 2018 Budget information will be available online at www.ashburnvillage.org in October and will also be included in the November issue of The Villager.
