AVSP offers members a wide selection of complimentary Group Exercise activities.
For an additional fee, AVSP provides a diverse selection of Specialty Fitness Programs to meet the community's needs and wants.
AVSP has many fitness programs designed specifically for the youth, pre-teens, and teens of the community.
AVSP offers a variety of active adult classes to both members and non-members of the community.
AVSP values the safety of each community member. Individuals that participate in certain fitness programs will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation.

Whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, this session with a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) can be used to look at your goals, assess where you are currently standing physically, and educate you on new exercises to broaden your scope of knowledge so that you can utilize the gym to it's greatest capacity! Your CPT will also take you through a custom tailored fitness test and leave you with a 30 day workout program. Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!

Welcome to the AVSP Personal Training Program! Working with a Certified Personal Trainer is one of the fastest, easiest and most successful ways to achieve your fitness goals. At AVSP we take great pride in the fact that all of our trainers are either certified through a nationally recognized organization, have a college degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, or both. Our trainers have a proven track record of coaching clients to achieve their personal fitness goals. FREE- members & new clients only
Take advantage of this free 1-hr complete assessment whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned athlete. During your assessment you and your Certified Personal Trainer will discuss specific fitness goals, health history, dietary habits, current exercise routine, amongst other topics. Your CPT will also take you through specific fitness testing and a mini-workout. Based on the results of your assessment, your CPT will make recommendations about the Personal Training subscription that will best help you reach your goals!
InBody 230 Body Composition Analyzer
Initial Consultation: Member $39 / Non Member $49

This analysis provides a snapshot of a person's lean muscle mass, body water and body fat percentage. Knowing your internal makeup is the most important factor in acheiving ideal body composition. This non-invasive, in-depth analysis will provide a detailed printout and results interpretation by a Certified Personal Trainer. The analysis will produce the following measurements in less than 5 minutes:
- Body Weight
- Body Fat Mass & Percentage
- Skeletal Muscle Mass
- Segmental Lean Analysis
- Basal Metabolic Rate

Subscriptions are designed for those who are dedicated to achieving their fitness goals, committed to consistent personal training and who want to be held accountable. Most importantly, the subscription program makes personal training more affordable by providing manageable monthly payments!

Personal Training Packages
For those looking for a more intense, shorter workout we offer our Express Sessions that are 30 minute high intensity bouts that are perfect for increasing cardiovascular endurance, improving body composition, and testing your fitness levels.
The 1–hour Traditional Session of individualized personal training is perfect for those wanting to increase their lean, skeletal muscle mass or for individuals in need of gaining strength and stability.
Partner Training is perfect for members who would like to share the experience with a friend or relative. These sessions are also an hour in length. Get ready to sweat together!

Hard Bodies Boot Camp:
Hard Bodies is a 10-Week comprehensive & challenging workout that will add variety to any fitness routine! The instructor will introduce you to the benefits of using kettle bells, the TRX suspension system, the battle rope and anything else that will help you maximize your success! All fitness levels welcome. Pre-registration is required for this class and can be done by calling or stopping by the AVSP Front Desk, or by clicking here
Couch to 5K: This course will train you to run a 5K or 10k race in 8 weeks! The course will culminate with a local race. Participants will be responsible for selecting & registering for a race of their choice. A suggested list of local races will be provided by the course instructor. The course will be held indoors under certain weather conditions (i.e. low temperatures, rain, high wind). Otherwise, the course will be held outdoors.
Deep Water Training:
Utilize deep water running exercises to strengthen and tone muscles, improve cardiovascular system and allow you to enjoy a refreshing challenging workout with less stress and strain on your joints. This 6-week course is suitable for all levels, including non-swimmers. However, due to pool depth, the maximum height limit for the class is approximately 5’10”. Sign up here

Couch to 5K Kids: This course will train kids, ages 9-13, to run a 5K or race in 8 weeks! The course will culminate with a local race. Participants will be responsible for selecting & registering for a race of their choice. A suggested list of local races will be provided by the course instructor. The course will be held indoors under certain weather conditions (i.e. low temperatures, rain, high wind). Otherwise, the course will be held outdoors.
Kid's Triathlon Training: Do you have a child or teen that will be participating in the annual AVSP Kid’s Triathlon? This 6-week session will give your youth an opportunity to train with peers in a fun, social, and athletic atmosphere in preparation for the Triathlon. The session will culminate with the Kid’s Triathlon in late August. All participants are required to have prior swim & bike experience. All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25m (length of the pool) without assistance. Bike helmets are required. All participants ages 9+ should be able to bike without training wheels.
Pre-Teen Speed & Agility (P.T.S.A.):
PTSA is a class for kids ages 11-13 learn speed and agility drills to condition for sports and prepare for high school level. We will work on all aspects of sport including speed, endurance, footwork, core strength and coordination while offering a fun environment with enough push to keep them going. Sign up here.
This is a sports conditioning class for teens, ages 14-17, to work on speed, agility and core strength for any sport. No matter their skill level, teens can join to get back in "practice mode," prepare for a new sport, maintain skills during the off-season, or just to get a great workout. We'll offer a friendly, competitive environment to add the extra push that athletes need to excel in any sport. Sign up here.
Teen Weight Training Certification:
The "do's and don'ts" of fitness and weight training. This is a two-day course and teens must demonstrate competency on the equipment and pass a written quiz. Participants must attend both days of the session. After completing this course, teenagers, aged 12-15, may use the fitness center with parental supervision or during the designated "Teen Workout" times (trainer-supervised).

Teen Workouts: Teenagers between the ages of 12-15, are able to use the weight room & cardio area under the supervision of one of our Personal Trainers during designated times. *Teens must have successfully completed the Teen Weight Training Certification in order to participate.* Teens must pick-up a wristband from the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for Teen Workout. Note: During non-Teen Workout times, teens must still be accompanied by and within visual/audible distance of a parent or guardian at all times.
Workout Days/Times: School In Session: M-Th, 4-6p / School Out of Session: M-Th, 1-4p
Cost: FREE- members only
Zumba Kids: This high-energy fitness party offers real results for kids aged 4-12 including styles like hip-hop, reggaeton & cumbia. It increases focus & self-confidence while boosting metabolism & coordination. Kids get fit, rock out and have a blast! Pre-registration NOT required.
Day/Time: School In Session: Every Tues, 4:30-5:15p, School Out Of Session: No Class

AVSP offers a variety of active adult classes to both members and non-members of the community. Non-members must pay $10/class to participate. Payment can be made at the AVSP Front Desk upon arrival for class. Classes designated as Active Adult include:

Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion values the safety of each community member. Every individual that participates in the personal training program, any fee-based fitness class and/or the teen weight training program at the Sports Pavilion will be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) form prior to participation. Legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 will be required to complete the form. The PAR-Q is a screening tool that is commonly used by fitness professionals to determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for an individual based upon answers to the specific health history questions on the form. AVSP is able to better serve the community and increase safety of program participants by utilizing the PAR-Q form.
