Phase 2 will begin on Tuesday, February 7th. To accommodate as many Sport Pavilion users as possible during phase 2 some changes to the upcoming AVSP schedules are necessary. Departmental adjustments are listed below:
CARDIO/STRENGTH EQUIPMENT
- Cardio equipment will be available upstairs.
- Limited strength equipment will be available while the expanded floor space is installed.
GROUP EXERCISE
- All Group Exercise classes (except cycling and aqua aerobics) will be held at the Lakes Recreation Center through March.
- All weekday Cycling classes will be held at the Mills Recreation Center through March.
- All Saturday and Sunday Cycling classes are cancelled.
- All aqua exercise classes will run on schedule at the AVSP Indoor Pool.
RACQUET SPORTS
- All racquetball and squash courts will be unavailable for Phase 2 (at least 8 weeks). During this time we will be installing steel and concrete in the new floor areas. Since the new floor is also the new ceiling in the hallway downstairs we can not have members in this area safely. This is why we need to close the racquetball courts for this part of the project.
AQUATICS
- All aquatics programs will run as schedule.
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES PROGRAM
- ASAP will be held, as scheduled, at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion.
KIDZONE
- Kidzone will move to the Mills Recreation Center and have limited hours. KidZone will be open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm. Advanced registration is required and no drop-ins will be allowed.
