Ashburn Village has two swim teams:  the Blue Wave Swim Team and the Aqua Jets.  The Blue Wave Swim Team is a year-round swim team while the Aqua Jets is a summer swim team.  More information about each swim team can be found below:

The Blue Wave Swim Team is the Pavilion’s year-round swim team.  The team is a member of Potomac Valley Swimming and USA Swimming.  Under the leadership of Head Coach EJ Amyot, the team focuses on the development of the swimmer as a whole person, and not just as a swimmer. The team is split into several age groups based on age and ability.  The team offers a developmental program through both the Prep 1 and Prep 2 age groups.  Practice days and times are based on age groups and range from two to nine times per week.  Each swimmer is eligible to compete in several meets during the season.  The majority of the team practices and competes from September-April for the short course season, with all meets held in a 25 meter pool.  The older age groups continue from April-July for the long course season, with all meets held in a 50 meter pool.  For additional information click here:  Blue Wave Swim Team

The Aqua Jets Swim Team is the Pavilion’s summer swim team.  The team is part of the Colonial Swim League and is a great introduction to the sport of swimming.  The team’s emphasis is on having fun.  While still a competitive team, the focus is to develop younger swimmers over the shorter summer season instead of the traditional year-round swim team.  The Aqua Jets compete in both “A” and “B” meets on Saturdays and Wednesdays, respectively, from the middle of June to the end of July.  Practices are held every weekday from the beginning of June through the first week of August.   The team relies heavily on parent volunteers to help run the meets.  Registration for Aqua Jets generally starts mid-April.
