In Ashburn Village, the Covenants Department supports the Architectural and Environmental Review Committee (AERC) and oversee the processes, policies and procedures established by the AVCA Governing Documents and the Board of Directors.  This department also makes certain that Association codes, covenants, and restrictions (CC&R's) are consistent with state statutes including the Virginia Condominium Act, Virginia Property Owner's Association Act, and the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act.   All homeowner matters involving exterior change applications and inquiries, property inspections, and property violations are managed within this department. 

In addition, the Covenants Department provides a homeowner who is selling their property with an "Association Disclosure Packet".  This packet is a requirement of the Virginia Property Owner's Association Act and it contains information about the community that must be disclosed by the seller to a purchaser.  Email inquiries about the disclosure process can be sent to  or call (703) 723-7910, x102.
