Supervisor Meyers' Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) Resolution on New I-66 Tolls
Posted on Dec 7th, 2017
Dear Ashburn Village Residents,

In our capacities as members of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, I worked with Supervisor Letourneau and other members of NVTC to draft the following resolution, copied below. It closely mirrors the Board of Supervisors legislative agenda item opposing tolling on I-66 inside the Beltway.

When VDOT presented the plan for tolling Rt. 66, tolling projections were at a maximum of $8-$9. The current tolling methodology was never made clear. Now that the program is in place we are seeing why these tolls were not published before December 4th.

I am asking NVTC to put a cap on the tolls so that families can use Rt 66 without going broke and/or adjust their travel times so they do not have to pay tolls at all.

Loudoun County Evaluating Short-Term Residential Rental Oversight; Seeks Public Comment

With the growth of online listings for short-term residential rentals, Loudoun County has launched an effort to research issues surrounding such rentals, including registration, taxation, zoning, and public safety. The purpose of the initiative is to collect and evaluate relevant information from the community that the Board of Supervisors will consider for possible future ordinances and ordinance amendments.
